Gran Habano XX Aniversario Torpedo Heads to Cigar King

Cigar King in Scottsdale, Ariz. is getting a store-exclusive torpedo size in Gran Habano’s recently-released XX Aniversario Edicion Limitada line.

The cigar is a 6 1/8 x 52 torpedo that features the same blend as the other sizes in the line, meaning a Nicaraguan shade-grown wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Colombia, Nicaragua and Peru. The line is made at Gran Habano’s factory in Danlí, Honduras.

“Our 20th anniversary is a significant milestone for Gran Habano, and we are thrilled to mark this occasion with the release of the 20th Aniversario Torpedo,” the company said in a press release. “This cigar represents our dedication to quality and innovation, and we are honored to share it with our loyal customers.”

The Gran Habano XX Aniversario Edicion Limitada Torpedo features a tissue-wrapped body that bears Cigar King’s name, a touch that is distinct from the other sizes in the line. The cigar is priced at $15 per cigar and will be offered both in-store and via Cigar King’s website. The first batch of cigars has been shipped to the store, though the 20-count boxes are slated to begin shipping at the end of the month.

Production numbers have not yet been finalized, but a representative of Gran Habano told halfwheel that this size is being considered a limited production release.

Gran Habano released its XX Aniversario Edicion Limitdada line in November 2022, offering it in three sizes, with the first batch limited to 4,000 boxes per vitola:

While Gran Habano officially launched in 2001, the company underwent a makeover in 2003 that included new branding and the addition of a salesforce.
