Blake (gibson_es) on the Puff.com forum was kind enough to post his views on the Gran Habano Vintage 2002 cigar. Puff.com is one of the largest cigar communities on the internet of which you can find us posting under the name “GranHabano”.

And here is the review in full:
PRE-LIGHT:
as far as presentation, this wins. you have two bands, a slip of cider, and a little ribbon at the bottom. i give it the ‘ol squeeze, and it seems to be the same from cap to foot. a little give but not too much. i love it all ready.

THE SMOKE:
kind of hard to get lit properly. took twice as long as expected. but i finally got it. im surprised to find that theres not really an ash taste starting this one out. the draw is very good, and as for taste. i get a nice wood taste, some ceder and some of another wood i cant quite peg, it’s also quite peppery, i assume this is from the wrapper, and a little creamy. the ash seems to be holding on tight. as i will later find it holds on pretty much till the end, the sign of a well made cigar i sapose. as i get close to the 1/3 mark. i notice a very slight hint of liquorish, but it goes away, its so faint. im questioning if i even tasted it. as it gets closer to 1/4 the wood taste starts to get a little more faint compared to the pepper that is getting more pronounced. and every now and then i find that liquorish taste. though its more obvious when i retrohale. once past the 1/4 mark the pepper and wood seems to flip, the wood from the middle til i put out the cigar, progressively gets strong, as the pepper slowly gets lighter in taste, but make no mistake, through out the cigar there both the main flavors you get. and all though the amount does very through out the cigar, the flavor overall stays the same, but thats ok. because its a very good flavor that im not getting tired of. as you can see, it was good enough that i nubbed this one til the smoke was too hot to taste good anymore.

OVERALL:
dont buy one….
…..buy a whole bundle, at $2 a stick (when you get a bundle) its an epic win. i would pay over twice that price for one of these if thats what they whent for. very good cigar.

RATING:
8 out of 10

Casas Fumando Opium Review

Today's featured review comes from the Texas cigar blogger Tony Casas. He was kind of enough to take the time to review our latest release from the STK cigar line - the G..A.R. Opium. We especially love his reviews because he uses the opportunity to pair his cigar with a unique beverage... Read more
